Given that you can technically finish prophecies and only do SIX missions, I think you're talking out your rear, but that's just my opinion, I don't know or care if anyone shares it.

Well, first of all, Vizunah Square wasn't bugged on release. I know this because i did it with my Prophecies character during the first day of release. It was bugged by a patch that came out later.

Secondly its been fixed now.

I agree the auction houses or whatever needs to be put in soon.

Henchies..since that last update, they are great. People just need to take a new approach to clearing areas. You cannot skip past some groups and only fight the ones that are directly in your way, because you will get surrounded due to their long patrol paths.

Just avoid the uh..Rockshell dragon (i think?) Bosses in the jade sea, because they do massive aoe damage.

Meh. I thought it was worth buying a copy for each of my accounts. It's a great product, only slightly marred by a few minor annoyances--but with any luck those will be ironed out in the near future.

Biggest complaint: accessible high-level dungeons please. Sure, great, you ported over UW and FoW. Now put those goddess statues to work.

I'm not sure where you got the idea that "auction houses" and "accessories" were ever promised to come with Factions' release.

it has been stated clearly many times *when they are ready they will be streamed in * and no firm release date of these features has been made

Ok one thing i have to say right now, is that Anet has been doing a damn good job, no matter whos eyes you look at it through. I want whoever here has the biggest complaint to pick up Rome:Total War, and Medieval Total War, or simply go to Totalwar.com and go to forums.

CA I wont write out the name, has absolutely no customer support, heck they removed a whole feature due to a few children making racial comments. Now A-net has done a fine job of working their butts off to present us with a good game, and maybe it is human nature, but people have to complain. I mean for crying out loud cut A-Net a break.

i think overall its a great game and i cant complain too much, however i still violently disagree with the $50 price tag, its just not worth that much, there's a lot less for us than there was in prophecies

That is so not true..they dont make these for free and they dont give them out for free either...they sell them at like 50 a pop...that means they potentially make more than a p2p game does...they are shooting for 2 chaps a year at 100 a time...and you have to buy more accounts just to have more storage...and classes..but wait 10 dollars soon for more slots...thats money free money for them..how much you wanna bet more storage for cash in the future...

point is they make a butt load of money now they sit back and use existing skins and items to make a new chap and boom profit.

I agree that theres too many things about factions that is wrong/broken that it would seem to take too much resouces and time to fix and if they dont, Factions would truely be the shame of Guild Wars title.

Nothing short of another free area additions (like GF/SF) would make up for the lack of content (Fed ex quest dont count sorry) even so that is assumming players are waiting long enough to see them or the next chapter.

Prioritize fixing Factions please otherwise no amount of work for the next chapter will convince players that it will be worth it salt since Factions was hyped to a point that even the smallest dissappointments were brought out by the community now. Fix Factions please.

The only thing im REALLY dissapointed about, besides all the release glitches (and it happens, but look at the bright side, the server has YET to crash under the extreme pressure factions was put on on release), was the 12v12 competitive missions nerf. I cant explain how dissapointed i am that they really made it bad, because that was the most amazing thing about the FPE was those 12v12 slugfest of just pure joy! Now i feel like im playing them through a looking glass, its just not fun anymore.

At first I hated Factions. It felt really rushed to me, and the changes to 12v12, plus the locked gates had me kinda pissed. Then I settled down and actually played the game, did quests to get to lvl 20, and started working on the missions. I found the missions a lot of fun, especially Vizunah Square, playing with 16 people was a hoot. Hench AI is still kinda bugging me (take off Resurrection Chant and Signet of Devotion, replace with Resurrect and Dwaynas Kiss (or even that new 5/1/1 healing skill with half range)). Overall I have to say Factions was well worth my $50. I'll be first in line for ch3, with my preorder months in advance. Guildwars for lyfe

For everyone arguing that this wasnt worth $50:
Movie: 2 hours of entertainment, $7.00 (plus popcorn, so $10.00 +)
Normal Video Game: 12-40 hours of entertainment, $50.00
Sporting event: 2-3 hours of entertainment, $15-50
Guildwars, ch1: 1050+ Hours of entertainment: $50
Guildwars Ch2: 30+ Hours of entertainment: $50

I think I got my moneys worth

Bollux, if you only got GW and not factions you still have to arena against factions classes with thier new skills, and with no new skills of your own to counter them.

ONE example is the ritualists spirits and the mesmer signet that recharges instantly when it hits a spirit. So how is GW playable without having factions...

Most people wouldn't post what they like about faction, they would just play it, or discuss builds and ideas.

People are quick to pick up on the things that annoy them, thats what makes us human. Many complaints are handled quite well, they find a problem they say how it can be fixed etc etc. There are still a lot of bugs to be ironed out, but in general, it is a very impressive game.

Now who would think "Factions is amazing" thread would be cheesy and just well feels silly. Theres your answer

my current major gripes are:
1-trading is teh sux
2-henchie ai is average
3-the game doesnt feel storybased

1- they are bringing in auction house at some stage, so its basically be patient, no biggy.

2- this is being patched, and ai in such a dynamic environment must be crazy hard to program, however i figure its still useful for the programmer to be able to get feedback on what the henchies do wrong in certain situations:
-they dont seem to split apart when taking aoe or suffering disease
-they dont cancel their longcasting skills, when the player has already retreated a half compass distance from aggro
-the healer hench always runs up next to me when im melee attacking some enemy and sits their wanding
-the res behaviour is difficult to describe, i dont know what would be optimal, but it honestly seems that if the player dies, and a heal/prot/rit henchie dies, then the whole team is likely to wipe

3- i dont know, this is my personal experience of the game, i dont find the story engaging enough to want to bother reading all the dialogue, subsequently im detached throughout the whole game and dont feel that excited by it.
most of the time this game evokes a feeling of 'gotta get max weapon with optimum mods asap' 'gotta unlock everything asap' 'gotta get access to all locations asap' - i just dont feel like im playing the game as an end in itself, it always feels like a means to some other virtual goal. i make the effort to watch the cinematics - but the text just doesnt quite catch me.
meanwhile i think putting more storyline in the cinematics might be more painful for those who end up repeating failed missions.
so yeah, its a major gripe with a game because all the effort that must have been put into the story doesnt really get appreciated (by me), meanwhile they put access to uber drops at the end of the game so thats my main motivation to finish it... oh well

We definately need more content. People are finishing the game withing a day or two after the release, while in other games, no one has ever completed many parts of the game. I know this game is about skill and not grinding, but at least add more PvE content in the next expansion.

Iv ben playing Guildwars for a long time. I palyed some of the bata events and per-ordered the game a month or to ahead and it to was bugy at first but anet fixed them and after a wile the game was beter then ever and meny new areas we added like sorows furnase, and the greens and facons will probably be the same way and all other chapters to come, bugy at first and a month or two later get beter at thay fix it so all of you can stop complaning about what is bad FOR NOW and until then play all that is good about the game and yes it is $50 but it is a MMO and normaly you would have to pay a lot of money a month to play but I thing $50 for a MMO no fee is a GREAT deal and you dont have to get 3 or 4 acounts cuz iv dealt with my 1 acount and never hade a problem so give anet a rest with all the cridasisum.

That's been said many times over the course of Chapter 1. I remember when Sorrow's Furnace came out and customers were complaining about no trade fixes then, and an Anet employee said something like this in response: "We never promised trade improvements with the Sorrow's Furnace update. We made it clear that trade improvements would come in a later update."

Of course they were long overdue well before Sorrow's Furnace came out. Especially since it makes it painful trying to sell all those greens by way of making yourself become an incessant trade spammer.

Now Chapter 2 is out and still no trade fixes.

Trade may be fixed before Chapter 3 is out, but given the history of this issue I certainly would not be surprised if it isn't.

You've dissapointed a lot and thats why I bought the game it came out then I played it for 3 days and guess what im not even touching that part of my desktop. Also with the biggest GW fansite ranting like crazy they really do have to change this stuff and also include the things that are needed such as auction houses, more storage, and buyable character slots.
Gaile Gray and Alex Weekes and all staff can say well its coming out soon but really how soon I hope it isnt as messed up as you Collectors Edtion ordeal.

I really want to see the communitys opinion about all this.

I will also add things that people think need to improve or add to the game just post it.
If you bought factions hoping for more then 2 classes then you need to work on reading comprehension. Maybe try reading about what you are buying first next time, cause most of your complaints seem to be about stuff that was common knowledge way before release.

nothing is free money, its called server space, and since you only pay once for it, they need ways to make profit while keeping the game running, This is why they are doing stand alone add ons, to get more people buying, if it was an expansion the more they put out, the more likely they will get less and less buyers.

So you cant relate it to a p2p game because once you buy guild wars there are still people working on the game full time
